Are You this Jewish King
Yes, it is as you say
Why are You here before me
On trial this very day

Don’t you hear the charges
The words that they speak
They cry to have you beaten
Your very life they seek

I’ll send Him back to you
Yes, I’ll set Him free
No give to us Barabas
And hang Him on a tree

Why would I do this
What evil has He done
He opposes Caesar
And claims to be Gods son

In Him I find no fault
No reason to crucify
There is no evil in Him
No reason for Him to die

His blood be on our children
And also on our head
We will not be silent
Until we see Him dead

I will grant this evil
His blood is not on me
Take Him as you will
And hang Him on a tree
