Through the stark halls of martyrdom believers one by one
Have trod the path of certain death to follow Christ the Son.
By word of their testimony each one sealed his fate...
To proclaim the King of Life and Love enraged the lord of hate.
Yet, loving not their lives, even unto death,
They gladly gave their all, and with their dying breath.... sang!

"We count it all joy to shed our very blood!
'Tis privilege to share in that holy crimson flood
That has flowed through the ages from Mount Calvary's tree
Where the dear Lamb of God was slain to save and set free.
In His death we found life; Eternity possessed!
He obeyed til the end... How can we dare do less?
Though our life's blood is spilling, we suffer now no loss
For we hide in the refuge of that dear blood-stained cross!
Hear, O shadow of death! Thou hast not won!
For we lay down our lives with the Resurrected One!

Yes! These believers overcame by the blood of the Lamb,
By word of their testimony of the great I AM.
And loving not their lives, even unto death,
They gladly gave their all, and with their dying breath.... sang!


And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelation 12:11
