Do You Know And Share Your Talents?

As Beverly Taylor drove her 10 years old daughter and four of her friends to their weekly Girl Scout meeting, she noticed her class assignment work on the back seat of the car. A sheet of blue lined writing paper graded with an "A" at the top caught her eye. on the paper, Michelle had neatly printed:

I'm pretty
I give willingly
I'm cheerful
I'm friendly
I support my friends
I love life
I'm loving
I work hard
I'm thoughtful
I care about others
I'm kind
I share
I'm not mean
I smile a lot
I'm happy

"Gosh, Michelle appears to really love herself." After thinking about it for a few minutes, it bothered her such that she went to school the next day to discuss the assignment with her teacher.

"This is an outstanding paper!" she responded. "Michelle has a very good imagine of herself. That's really good."

"Are you sure? I took it that she might be conceited," Beverly asked. "What about the virtues of humility, meekness, love of neighbor?"

"The assignment was to list things for which to give thanks for. The other children listed their material possessions and things. Michelle responded to my assignment in a non materialist manner that is very refreshing for a child in this day and age." The teacher smiled, turning her paper over.

On the back Michelle had written: "Almighty God and Father, thank you for me, my life and the talents You have so lovingly given me to tell others of Your Majesty and Goodness. Thanks Lord for everything. Amen." The prayer was signed with a red fish.

What talents and gifts have you identified and are using for the presentation of the Kingdom of God? Identifying your talents and gifts are not pompous or arrogant if you determined them for the glory of God.
