Peel away my heart’s rind,
Burn away what lies behind;
Form me to be like Your kind.
I’ve come to know You, walked a while,
May I walk with You another mile.
Knowing You, my heart’s soar,
All I want, to know You more.

Sweep away my agenda,
Your Truth calls my surrender,
‘Cause You are my Holy Brother,
Your beauty is like no other!

C’mon, Jesus, please take me,
Carry Your time, me with thee;
Gi’me Your eyes, and then I’ll see,
Hear my heart’s desperate plea.

Hear me, Lord, and my heart’s cry,
As the time flies swiftly by;
Make me know You, all Your ways,
Make me know my Ancient of Days.
For Your love renders me,
Makes my heart send this plea.

O, my Lord, fashion me,
As You want for me to be;
You desire all like You,
To be with You b’yond the blue.
Rend my heart, then, rend me please,
Make my ways come to cease.
You alone for which I long,
You’ve become my soul song.

See my Lord on a cloud,
Trumpet bearing, oh so loud.
Your sight humbles all the proud,
And before You I am bowed.
A gentle wind lifts me away,
To spend with You b'yond the day.
One to come, to carry us,
To proclaim His ways just!
