I made a mistake of believing a textbook for Christians teachers, written by Christian teachers.

For this I apologize and hope that all that read my first article will read this and know that even God loving Christians can lead you astray.

What our Lord showed me today is what I should always do; never take a Bible verse out of context. The other thing that I should always do; is remember that God is the author of His Holy Word and even though we have changed His Word with our different translations, His Word stands as 'The Truth' and cannot be altered.

God never disagrees with Himself, therefore the Bible will never contradict Itself. If there is a contradiction, then there is something we were missing.

After researching further, I could find no historical evidence for a door in a gate, called an eye of the needle. Even if I could, it wouldn’t matter any more, after what God has shown me.

There are now three stories that are available for this story of the rich man and the camel and the eye of the needle:

1. The eye of a needle was a true sewing needle, which a camel would have to get through

2. The eye of a needle was a small door in a large gate, which the camel would have to unload its burden and crawl through on it’s knees

3. The eye of a needle was a true sewing needle but it wasn’t a camel after all but a misprint of the Greek word kamilos (camel) for the Greek word kamelos (large rope or cable) and these were translated from the Aramaic word gamla, which could mean camel or rope (probably because the ropes were made of camels hair).

But after reading the Bible again, I will go back to the original camel going through a sewing needle, regardless of what the Aramaic words meant, and this is why:

Matthew 19:23 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” 25 When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” 26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” 27 Then Peter answered and said to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?” 28 So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

The only way the disciples would be astonished at what Jesus had just said, was if Jesus was mentioning something that was impossible; and Jesus Himself goes on to say, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” By reading all of the verses, you can see the point Jesus is trying to get across.

Jesus is repeating the message loud and clear, “There is no way possible that anyone can get into Heaven, without the blood sacrifice of the Lamb of God, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.”

We can try to follow all of God’s commandments, but we will fail

We can work ourselves to death doing good works for Jesus

We can give all of our possessions to the poor

And we still won’t be able to earn our way into Heaven.

We will only get into Heaven by the Grace of God and the Sacrifice of the Holy Lamb of God and in the indwelling of His Holy Spirit....because with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible, even overcoming death from our sins and overcoming our sinful nature.

I will add though, that I still believe some rich men will have a harder time getting into Heaven, because they tend to be more proud and take the claim for their rich status and power. They forget that all of their belongings, belong to God alone and every good attribute they have came from God when He created them. They may not even see their own sins and so they might feel that they don't need their Savior and Redeemer and Lord.

Humility allows us to see God for who He is and who we truly are!

There is a quote that I never forget, “We teach what we need to learn the most”

Writing for God has gotten very complicated. It is so easy to get excited about sharing the Word with others, that sometimes I forget that what God is saying to me, is for my benefit, even though it may also help others. But God gives us gifts to share and for us to discern which is from God and which is not. We were always meant to be the Body of Christ, each being individual members that are to work together as a whole, all filled with the Holy Spirit and knowing that our Lord will never leave us or forsake us. Yes, I have read Revelation 22:18 many times before and it was even given to me by someone who was supporting their particular version of the Bible against all other versions of the Bible. There are so many translations of the Bible now, it is hard to know what is correct. Take for example the KJV of Acts 12:4, that uses the word easter instead of Passover. The Greek word here can be used either for Passover or for the pagan celebration of easter. The pagan celebration of easter happened right after Passover and the Days of Unleavened Bread. This passage refers to the time period after Passover and after the Days of Unleavened Bread. The KJV is the only version to use the word easter and it is only used once. This passage is not talking of the Resurrection of Jesus, but a pagan festival. I am trying to depend on the Spirit of Christ to keep me on that straight and narrow path, when I am reading all of the different versions....but it has been a struggle. God's voice is gentle and loving and the world's voice screams and shouts. I have to learn to shut out this world and listen to God better.

The brainwashing of this world is hard to overcome, but God always reassures me that, “With men all this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” “We must be still and know that He is God”
