GOD ON HOLIDAY

There gathered some employee, they would like their boss, a successful investor to go get some rest. They ran their comments through the year, and one said he is a workaholic type; this was confirmed by every one in that false- concern forum.
Although, he gave the best welfare package to this employee, but some of them can not cope with His constant presence.

When in the year will this man go on holiday, at least for a while? Was the rattling question in their discussion? It sounds more like sincere concern. Several groups emerged in the company for these reason. Some really loved his company and won’t subscribe to such suggestion. But the coined deceptive concern came from the indolent and his presence will not permit the practice of such. Some others wanted to make away with some valuable materials and they were afraid, they may be caught if he is present. With time, the latter two groups merged into a uniform voice and agreed that he needed to go get rest. These necessitated all the schemes and campaigns of these false-concerned groups. “They confronted him and pleaded with him to heed their advice, but he won’t “I am in a better state of mind with your presence, he replied.”

When these pleasure seekers could not press on him, they agreed to keep him behind the gate the next morning. Zealously they came in the morning and closed the door against him. When he arrived, he pleaded with them. They replied “Go get rest “we’ll continue without you for a while. After several hours, he left and went to another establishment of his. Mean while, he was making the plans to work out a better welfare and salary packaged. They had set him on compulsory holiday but for how long will they keep him Resting?


This is applicable in many gatherings, fellowships, churches and families. Some had ignorantly or willingly conspired with the devil to give God a compulsory holiday in their midst. So many things can bring down his hands. We may think they are irrelevant and so he remained absent still within many Christian folds and various homes.

Many could feel convenient with the absence of God. God was locked out of the congregation in the Wilderness EX. 33:3 “Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiff-necked people lest I consume thee in the way..

There is the angry renting of many mountains by the winds of situations and circumstances in many lives, fellowships and homes for the absence of God. There has been earthquake and destructive fire in some ministries while God is absent, and there is no safety in the absence of this Living God.

He keeps knocking, if we will open the door of our hearts unto him. He may not be needed in many gatherings, fellowships, homes and ministries, our various actions may have confirmed this. Some have sinned, and some by disobedience, doubt, fear, the desire to please people and pride had kept the wonderful and sovereign God alien in their meetings. We may pray for God’s visitation like the days of old; If it seems there is no answer, we’ll need to check, if God is with and within us or absent. Some may have managed to get the crumbs, but he is willing to come in fullness. If God must be locked outside our decisions, activities, programmes, works, songs, preaching, messages, books, discussions and ministries, we’ll miss a great deal, the wonders of God.

How many times have we told the Lord Jesus who is willing to live within us to “go get rest we will continue without you”!
