Princess Carroll Ayo Durodola the granddaughter of a great and well-loved Nigerian King, tells wonderful, mystical African tales that change lives.
Her storytelling gives a rare, authentic and insightful peek into African life and culture. Born in New York City to a Nigerian prince and an African American mother, her grandfather, Aina Owojaiye was the Oba (King) of Egbe, now a flourishing Yoruba city in the “The Giant of Africa” – Nigeria.
Her Royal Highness Princess Carroll Ayo grew up in Nigeria because her father, a medical doctor, wanted to practice medicine among his own people. From the age of 13 Carroll Ayo has been writing. In 1989 she became a professional storyteller to all ages. Now she is an author of children and adult Christian books, the co-producer and host of Africa’s Vision Network, a cable TV show, the mother of two grown children who are on fire for the Lord and the proud grandmother of Naomi & Dahntay.
In her position as an American and an African, Princess Carroll Ayo is a “bridge” between the two cultures, used by God who for almost 20 years has called her to the ministry of storytelling. She is excited to spread the Gospel and to encourage the saints.
