'For His name sake'
- That's Purpose!

Whatever God does, it is for a purpose. We are created to give Him pleasure, radiate His glory; reflect His beauty, His majesty and excellence.
He has a great Name and mindful of that Name. His Name is above every other name. That is why we are told that the name of Jesus is exalted above every other name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, of thing on this earth and of things underneath the earth (Phil 2:5-11)
Therefore He leads us in paths of righteousness for His name sake. He is righteousness personified and we belong to Him. Through Christ He imputed righteousness to us, because our righteousness is like filthy rags in His presence. But we need to work out that righteousness by living right. He knows that we are human and frail, so He gave us His Spirit to be our Helper, to strengthen us, convict us of sin, so that we can live for Him and His name is not brought into reproach.
The name of the Lord is awesome. The Pharisees were disturbed that the disciples preached in that Name. They felt threatened and warned them several times not to mention that Name again. But the disciples were adamant, they would not compromise their beliefs.

There is Healing, Salvation and Deliverance in His Name.

16By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see.
16"What are we going to do with these men?" they asked. "Everybody living in Jerusalem knows they have done an outstanding miracle, and we cannot deny it. 17But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn these men to speak no longer to anyone in this name."
18Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. (Acts3:16; -4:16-18)

17And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." (Mark 16:17-18)

Our Prayers are answered in His Name

Our prayers are answered because of the power in the name of Jesus.
In that day ye shall ask me nothing...

24Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.Jiohn16:24

‘Hollowed be thy name.’. was part of the Lord’s Prayer. Jesus showed us the importance of hallowing the name of the Lord.

So let’s go for gold in the purpose of giving glory, honour and adoration to our Maker. God has a Name that is above every other name. At the name of Jesus, demons tremble. His Name is the sweetest Name of all. Faith in that Name brings about salvation and deliverance. There is power in the Name of Jesus. We bear His Name. God is mindful of His Name and so should we. Let hallow that Name ever the same, hold it in awe and signs and wonders will be evident in our lives. His name is a strong tower. You can count on it,run into it and be saved. There is no other Name as strong, awesome and powerful.
