Healing
Darkness fell upon me so long ago. The air is thick and it makes it difficult to breath. I'm crying out for someone to save me. I need someone to take me out of this darkness. Tears stream down my cheeks. I have gone blind in the darkness. There is no hope and no way to escape. No one loves me. My chest aches as I try to exhale. "Why is this happening to me?", I ask. I fall to my knees and place my head on the ground. "Father, I need you. Please save me from this place that I have put myself into." The sobs continue. I slowly lift my head and see what appears to be a star gently floating in the darkness. It comes closer and closer and I see that it is just a speck of light. A speck of hope. The star swishes around me in a playful manner and it makes me rise to my feet. I begin to follow the light out of the darkness. My feet begin to move faster and faster as I follow the star. A dawn begins to break and I burst into praise. My Father has not forgotten about me and He still loves me. He comes to me when I call for Him. Joy enters my heart and a new hope is born into me once again.

VICTORY! Wonderful, very creative work!
He's our Glory and the Lifter of Our Heads. This piece is bursting forth with hope. The darkness last only for a little while. He gives us songs in the night as it says in Job. Great job.
Oh, your words touched my heart for I have felt all that you described! You were words were real and your writing style is wonderful and expressive! And, you made such a WONDERFUL point... we just need to reach out for our Father and He will pull us up and out of the holes in our lives! Why does it take us so long to realize that? But, as you said, what JOY when we finally do! God bless you! Peggy
Sorry, I meant 'your words were'...my fingers stuttered! :-)
Katie, what a beautiful expression of words. Yes, our Father loves us and there is nothing He will not do to save us. This is really an encouraging piece and it radiates hope! Blessings, Sharon
