Prayer

Lord, help me to pray
Holy Spirit lead in what to say
There are so many in need
I long to intercede

Peace for Jerusalem is first
Living Water for those who thirst
Now the orphan and the widow
And for broken-spirits brought low

So many needs, Oh so much
Desiring for Your healing touch
I pray for each and all
On You, My Lord, I call

It is promised in Your Word
My prayers are indeed heard
You know my heart and its desire
Let Your blessings spread as fire

When I know not what to speak
It is Your Spirit that I seek
Through my souls unuttered groans
My heart’s prayers are made known

Do not let me be dismayed
Allow Your power to be displayed
My tiny voice lost in a world so loud
By You, alone, can it be found

I call to You from my heart
The only place prayer can start
Faithfully You will meet all needs
Of those for whom I intercede

Thank you and praise Your Name
The Healer of the sick and lame
You know our needs before we ask
You are willing and able for the task
