Remember The Cross

Around my neck I wear this cross
To show the world I once was lost
It’s a symbol of who I am now, in Christ
It’s to honor His ultimate sacrifice

When Jesus hung upon that tree
He denied Himself, for you and me
His blood flowed freely on that hill
Obediently, He did the Father’s will.

He died upon the cross that day
His body ravaged and on display
Jesus was tormented and all alone
God the Father forsook His very own

Remember the cross, what it stands for
Don’t wear it lightly, I must implore
Remember the cross, what it stands for
The sins of the world, our Savior bore….
