In The Valley

God, I’m in the valley once again,
The devil is messing with my head.
I feel such hopelessness in my heart,
And tears today, I have shed.

I’ve been blessed with Your salvation,
While my family rejects Your love.
It’s so hard to be all alone in You,
And not share the wonders from above.

But they don’t want to hear it, God,
They think I’m just “preaching again.”
I see their lost hearts beating only…..
For the emptiness of this world of sin.

My heart cries out for mercy, God
Please save them from the evil one!
Shine Your light upon their souls,
Pierce their hearts with the love of Your Son.

Julia, this is so beautiful. I too know that fear and loneliness that comes from having lost loved ones. They don't want to hear it. I shall pray for your family and please pray for mine. I believe this is one reason I write... I have no one to talk to about my faith. Thank you... your poem expressed the sorrow of many, I'm sure. Linda

Beautiful poem, with meaningful thoughts. We need to be in constant prayer for lost souls. Even if we never live to see them save. God remembers and will answers all the prayers of his saints.... even when that saint has passed from this world. Great poem.
