Encouragement

I should write frequently, if I am a scribe,
I should bring messages, for lives to imbibe

And so I raise my voice, or rather lower my pen.
For the weary souls of anxious men

Who came to this port seeking Gold
but have been left with pains untold.
They saw their portion as a Gold mine,
alas it was a Land mine

What we felt would give us hope
is now an ordeal with which we must cope
Dear Lord, why turn our sweet to sour
and burn our dreams in fire

For we have been on this throng for too long
But divine fire is a cleanser, making tho good even better
For if chaff was all we were
The flame would make us bare

Still, we stand to fight on, “ One key must be the right one”
Why pass us through, if we would expire
There must be something on th inside,
that makes us as sought after as a bride

Paper, flax, wood, Garment can’t last this long
There must be a treasure, a higher calling
why pass me through fire
......If I am not GOLD?!!
