GRANDMOTHER

I’ve seen you in my dreams
Translucent and pristine
You never say a word
Your patient gaze, serene

I feel you by my side
Your gentle hands that guide
I have no need to fear
Silent comfort you provide

Can it be so long ago?
Since you reached a new plateau
Your soul, it never died
Some don’t believe, I know

Your spirit still remains
Your blood flows through my veins
My grandmother, my friend
Mere words cannot explain

How you walk beside me still…..
