MIRACULOUS REPRIEVE

Visions of 10,000 dreams
Reduced to one brief ode
Romance calls
No one’s home
Depressions bitter epilogue
Pierce the veil of silent gloom
Cognitive false memory
Traumatic tale of tunnel vision
Barefaced scars transmit
Tears of penance flowing
Hatred stored in rotten wineskins
Stronghold from an astral plain
Misguided though sincere
Horrid demons manifest
In crevices of psychosis
Drowsy Thorazine shuffle
Doe eyed stare from a padded cell
Vitality dashed abruptly
Backwash of bewildered damnation
Those who come to grips with sin
Mental illness evinced
One way path to hell
Reversed in gleaming retrospect
Brilliant gush of peace
Spirit of truth deliverance
Miraculous reprieve
No doubt
Distinct absence of logical explanation
Origins of perfect grace
Life as God designed it
Borne on wings of hope
