The abomination stands in his place,
As a false peace is revealed;
The world heaves to and fro,
As a woman in labor;

Joy gives way to sorrow;
Patience to judgment;
Saints of the tribulation are killed,
Yet their patience bears them through,
For they are covered;

There is no place to run;

Seals are opened;
Scrolls unfold;
Come and see the one
With golden laurel and bow,
Riding a white horse;
Peace is taken,
As people kill one another;
In the wake of war,
Economy takes a final plunge,
Never to recover again;

A quarter of the earth dies;
Some by sword or famine;
Some by beasts;

Nothing seen or known matches this,
As faces writhe like flames;
Many seek death,
But fail to find it;
And hearts have grown cold of love;
Teeth gnash in the dark;

This is the beginning of sorrows,
As the heavens roll up like a scroll,
And the moon bleeds;
As a sun grows dark,
A certain mountain in Israel cleaves,
And a King comes...
