Poetry
I do not know
The reason why
You are so good
To such as I
The gifts you give
Like summer rain
Refresh my heart
My life sustain
Lost, abandoned
Blind was I
Found by you
And hoisted high
On shoulders broad
You carried me
You touched my eyes
That I might see
You marked my soul
And laid Your claim
Your own dear child
I then became
Your nature birthed
Inside of me
In me Your image
Chose to see
Exuberant love
Abounding joy
Are wondrous gifts
That I enjoy
Your hand in mine
So strong so warm
I walk secure
Through every storm
My smallest cares
My deepest fears
My joyous laugh
My heavy tears
You know so well
In every part
The shadows of
My fragile heart
You breathed on me
And now I live
Embracing all
You have to give
Your path, my way
Your voice, my guide
In you alone
I shall abide
Treasures mine
From Your own store
Into my hands
You richly pour
To build and shape
Your Kingdom here
To hold this ground
Till You appear
That day will come
With trumpet blast
Upon Your face
I'll gaze at last
I'll lay my victories
At Your feet
And sing before
Your mercy seat

This is really good Melanie! I enjoyed the pace and every word! It's a blessing of a poem!
I agree with Pat. This is well done and certainly publishable. A+ :0)
