The disease killed left right and centre.
But one day the cure was found
Through research and grace light came
Now it is a thing of the past
'Let there be light! and there was light.
They wallowed in superstition
Murdered twins as a bad omen
But one day, God opened their eyes,
Using Mary Slessor.

And when women were
Treated as lower than cattle,
The light shone in the darkness
And reason prevailed,
Ignorance failed and women liberated.
Let there be light and there was light.

They said poverty is a blessing from God.
‘Keep the Pastor poor and keep him humble.’
‘If you are good Christian, you must be poor- very poor.’
Then came the light: Give and it shall be given back you,
Good measure pressed down and running over..
God will make His grace abound to you,
That you having all sufficiency will abound unto all good works.
My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory through Christ Jesus.
If you are willing and obedient you will eat the best of the Land.
The Lord delights in the prosperity of his servant.
Let there be light and there is light
