The Tale Of Two Cars- continues......
Well here we are again, these same two cars
still in the race to gain the crown
Side by side, both set in drive
each in the fight, at each going round
But, again like always, one acts up
trying to stir up trash and dirt
Spewing out guile on every turn of the trail
causing pain, sadness, and hurt
The souped up car relies on looks
but it's hearts engine, is dark and cold
Won't ask for any help, in moving it out
for it doesn't, like to be told
In what it has to do, to run this race
but trust, in it's own way
It won't check the engine, for any damage
it always wants to have it's say
Now the plain little car keeps on praying
from within the silent heart
Not boasting and bragging to prove anything
but, allowing God to do his part
Up ahead, the warning lights are flashing
written plain enough to see
But, the souped-up car went by in a rage
and refuse to use the key
Which is God's word sound and true
helping us to make the flight
Which to will also, keep the car running
by casting off any malice and spite
The plain cars trying, to stay in the right lane
the souped-up one, chose to go wrong
Though both are reading the same road signs
only one, is singing, the right song
The plain car welcomes, the flight with praise
the other finds a reason to complain
The plain one takes note, to ask for wisdom
while the other, rather stay the same
In the wind, both motors are running
toward the goal that lies before
The plain car knows it can't have bad loads
for it will keep it from entering the door
The plain car remembered to take the map
so it can know, every right way
But, the souped-up one, took a list of craftiness
so it can deal, unjust every day
Up ahead the lights, again turned red
to warn one, it's time to stop
and wait until, the light turns green
then proceed on, to reach the top
The souped-up car, flew by in a rush
not heeding the sign at all
and began to throw out, little wise cracks
to cause the plain car, stall and fall
But, the plain slow car knew the route
it had prepared it's engine well
By being tuned up by, the word of God
free to run and not put in a shell
The souped-up car kept blowing it's horn
mouth motor, just won't quiet
Backbiting, judging, putting others down
not realizing, that it's unfit
Not everyone, desires the truth
they rather keep carring, loads of hate
So what if runing slow, while on the journey
for sometimes, it pays to wait
For God to send by, a refreshing
so to be filled, up with, the right stuff
Let the fast car keep on speeding
Just make sure, that you have enough
To make this Holy journey
and always stay in tune with God
Keep your engine checked, while in the race
so to keep, the Lord on your side
The souped-up cars windows, mind is clouded
and it's tires have too much air
You see, it rather be proud, than humble
and chose not to have any care
About it's up-keep of the souls engine
causing it, to spout out evil deeds
It seems satisfied, in running off hate
when it refuse, the word to heed
This tale of two cars is a spiritual lesson
for on this road it takes the right gas
No detours or short-cuts, to make it to heaven
and this driving test, you've got to pass
Then heaven you'll make and that's for sure
for you studied all about the route
Relieving yourselves of every little hang up
and in your heart there is left no doubt
For the race is not given, to the swift
nor the battle to the strong
But, it's given to those, who endure to the end
and by rehearshing, the words of the song
Not shifting gears, of jealousy and strife
no baggage, loaded with hate
Casting off envy and pointing of the finger
having no part of, any petty debate
These things will choke the engine out
it's running will be in vain
It will kill everything, that is needed to win
if you don't of these things, refrain
We don't have to ride anything in our cars
we can have, control of our breaks
and not pick up any, un-safe travelers
why! For our very, soul is at stake
Let the souped-up car, have it's sun-roof
and we be thankful for our top
As long it's covered, by God's grace and mercy
then we have, the cream of the crop
We can keep our hearts windows, always clean
so we can look through them with love
and if any damage, ever occur
just take it to, the car garage up above
