This Love; the only true love;
Compulsion of the Creator to create,
Desiring objects of love,
For this Love produces life
It is transcendent, beating death;
The Lord is love personified

Then this Love seeks to make itself known,
For it knows this Love redeems and completes;
It brings good from evil,
And clears the way for reconciliation,
Wanting, without needing,
Its object of love;

This is a holy love, an infinite love,
For it is above all things, it must be emulated;
As such, it can compel the loved one to become love,
In response to itself;
This Love matures the one loved, once received;

Demons cannot hinder it,
Darkness cannot confound it;
It cannot be mortified;
Wisdom and power reside with it,
And blessing follows it;

Where Love abides,
One will not find hope or faith,
For it alone is sufficient;
It will be fully manifested before all eyes;

It is this which will continue beyond time and space,
And bring space in with it,
Along with those who have loved in return;

For now, we who are loved know this Love in part;
One day we will know it fully,
For now, it is enough that this Love knows us.

God is Love.
