I’m really not sure who may read this poem
And I’m not sure to whom I’m talking too
But my aim is to encourage an audience
Maybe that audience could be you?
Perhaps I know you
Do you know me?
If not, it really doesn’t matter,
This is the way I express myself,
God’s way he speaks and communicates to me
When I meet with him for a natter!

And our conversation is not just for my gain
I put others before my own need
It’s the way I am and will always be
I learnt from Jesus, as he takes the lead
I may seem a little absent at times
That’s just my personality
But look under the bonnet
And I think that you will see
In my character,
You have a real friend in me!

I don’t say much or use big words in the presence of my friends
I’m just open and honest in conversation
I try not to pretend.
Maybe my life will help your life too,
Maybe my transparency will speak for itself
I’m a living witness of His grace
And surely of what God can do!
Please don’t read into things so much
Just look at the Christian walk
And begin to see God’s ordering of steps
And His superlative touch!
I’m just like millions who have gone before
A simple one really, A Follower of Jesus,
The one who died for every one of us
The one whom I simply adore.

Although there is a difference
I must confess,
I want the world to know my Messiah...
The one who cares and loves like nothing else
The one who takes me up, high and still higher!
I am not really a religious person
But I am new creation
I am Born Again,
In relationship with the True Vine
The one who wants to be your life too,
I recommend; For his ways are simply divine!
I hope and continue to pray for you then
My sincere Love to you all,
My friends and aquaintances near and far
My beloved, fellowmen.
