The Journey.


In the deepest of valleys,
In the blackest dark night,
I will look through the eyes of faith.
To my God who inhabits,
Such wondrous light,
In whose Almighty arms I am safe.

The journey’s so perilous,
With much opposition,
I dare not to trust in myself.
I will look to my heavenly,
Home and position,
And let the Lord deal with all else.

Though waves break about me,
and threaten to drown,
I will seek out His glorious face.
Can no trial or affliction,
For long keep me down,
I’m upheld by His infinite grace.

As a soldier of Christ,
Marching into the fight,
I will battle against any loss.
I will draw from my Father’s,
Invincible might,
Which flows as I cling to The Cross.

On my pilgrimage travels,
I have nothing to fear,
He has authored the end of my story.
Soon my sorrows forgotten,
He will wipe every tear,
And welcome me into His glory.
