When hearing the word, "obediance", most of us start to shrink up like sun dried prunes at the very thought of it. And if most of us were to be honest with ourselves we'd say we see obediance as a hard over bearing slavemaster that we better take heed to or else God will reach down from the third heaven and snatch away our eternal salvation from us. But is being obediant really the way most of us picture in our minds? I don't think so.

Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-29, come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. In John 10:10 he says, he says, I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.(NIV) So just by looking at those two verses we should know that God's commandment's were never intended to take all the enjoyment out of our lives. They were really designed by God for our protection and to bring us to a life full of blessings and to guide us down the pathway to our eternal destiny.

For example, think about the call of Abraham. What would of happen if Abraham said to God? "God. I don't know about this moving away from my family business. I love my family too much to leave them all behind. I can't do it. I'm staying here." No doubt Abraham would of missed out on becoming the Father of Many Nations. Matterfact he wouldn't of been anyone's father being that his wife Sarah was completely barren and God needed to open her womb in order for him to even have children.

Another person we can look at is Simon Peter. What if when Jesus said to him, "follow me, and from this day forward you'll be a fisher of men, Peter replied, "No thanks, I'm satisfied with fishing. I like it way too much for that following stuff."

Without asking any questions in my mind of
what would of happen. Peter would of never been worthy enough to be one of the twelve disciples, which means he would of never walked on water, something no man has did eversince I remind you. And Peter would of never preached one of the most powerful sermons ever on the day of Pentecost. Plus just like anyone who wasn't of great significance in the bible, I think his name wouldn't of been in the scriptures at all.

Now let's look at obediance from a different angle, when it comes to being a blessing to others. Let's look at Moses and the burning bush. What if Moses never accepted God's call to go to pharoah of Egypt so that the Israelites could go free. What if he said to himself. "I'm already free, who cares about the rest of them." And continued to live with his father in law Jethro instead. We all know that God would of found some other way to deliver his people. But Moses disobediance still would of been a hinderance to the timing of God's people being set free from slavery.

the ultimate example of obediance is our Lord, Jusus Christ. But let's imagine if Jesus was disobediant. What if in the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus didn't say to the father, nevertheless not my will but let your will be done. What if he said to God, " I don't know about this dying on the cross thing. Sorry, but this is too much God. I think I'll run away from Jerusalem and go hide somewhere in Egypt." Can you imagine how that one single of decision of not being obediant would of impacted the world? No salvation for humanity. Just billions of sinners facing judgement and going you know where for all of eternity. If it's one thing I've found out, obediance is always about more than us.

See, God doesn't intend to harm us by depriving us of everything we like to do. If he is dealing with us to be obediant in a certain area, it's because he wants us to be in the right position to recieve his blessings. He's dealing with us so that we can be what he has called us to be. World Changers truly indeed. That's the truth about obediance!
