Sweet grace, so amazing was the gift,
That saved a wretched soul such as I!
And sweet grace, so amazing still I see,
His hand keeps in plentiful supply.
When I was yet lost in the wilderness,
My sweet Jesus to me called: Come out!
Sweet grace, so amazing He planted,
In my wanderings, without any doubt!
While traveling around that mountain,
Toiling and stewing in my own sin.
Never walking in the path to Jesus,
Till His grace, so amazing brought me in.
His glory came down from heaven,
Shined a light-beam right into my soul.
He straightened my path for an exodus,
Then His grace, so amazing made me whole!
When I go back in time o’re this life,
There’s one thing I will never deny.
T’was grace, so amazing that kept alive,
This old wretched soul such as I!

Shined a light-beam right into my soul." Oh, I love this line. "Shined a light-beam right into my soul" just says plainly and deeply the revelation God gives us of Himself. Thank you, and I am going to be thinking of that light beam shining right into my soul. Thomas
