Life I won't let you become my enemy
no matter what you send my way
I'll take your hand and keep fighting
and meet you on every day

Now go on and throw your hammers
and even your pick-forks too
I will find a way to face each one
this is what my heart will do

Life the tests you give can be a bomber
sometimes it can be a grag
But I'll pull out my gear and use them
O' life this is not some brag

But a real challenger won't give up
they will meet you on the block
With hopes inside, backed up with faith
and take each heavy knock

I know you will have a lot more trials
waiting at the door for me
And I fully know it's part of your job
but still your not my enemy

Because I have learn that some are helpful
not all the time it's for the bad
But will stir one's up for better things
like having a grip, we never had

Life you won't find me standing still
no you won't catch me asleep
Even in my dreams, God is still moving
til it will give you the creeps

So what is there left to say O' life
will we ask it to be our friend
And will we ask of it to ride with us
along in what it will bring

Now will we thank God for this gift
even in the roughest storm
But know that it won't last forever
and we won't suffer any harm

For God is with us in our storms of life
not a one that he doesn't see
Instead he's carring us during each one
because, he loves you and me

The Devil may have the deck stacked against us
but know that he can't win
For we have the top card to beat him
to bring his works to an end

So let him keep dealing his crooked cards
let him spread them on the table
But we have a God that knows his tricks
and still is willing and able

To put out of his winning hands
and when to fold the deck
So nothing is over until he says it's over
for he has the devil's neck

Did you not know that we are in his care
on this road of life each day
And when we always remember he's in charge
and can send good things our way
