On one accord we decide to pray; for the burden of our church was seem to become more difficult. Each ministry pray but just for the things that was on their agenda. For the selfishness of our church, God did not answer our prayers.

The teen ministry was doing their own thing, but mostly leaving God out. It came up in conversation in the missionary's meeting, but they said that's not their problem. The deacons want to do more community outreach but the trustee said that not what the money is for. The pastor aide want to buy the pastor a new chair for his office but first lady said no. The usher were upset because no one would follow their instructions. The Sunday School plan to have a luncheon but didn't let the Hospitality know.

It seems that everyone had their own agenda and not work the vision that God had given the Pastor.

Now choir were really off the hook, claim that I don't sing in that choir and I'm not going to hear them sing. Or this choir sing better than that choir. Or why do they have to lead all the songs, anyway.

The pastor was about to call it quits. But decide to go before the Lord one more time about this situation.

God spoke to Him and said" This is not my House of Prayer. I will not answer your prayer because it is not about Me. My Son is the Head of the Church but you are disattached from his body. You have separated your self from Me. I am calling you into unity. For without untiy the body cannot work together. The neck can't make the foot go forward. My son to move forward each one of the members must work together."

The pastor had a talk with the heads of each ministry, and a great deal of repenting was done. For no one wanted not to please God.

So now praise God, we are church that prays on one accord. This wasn't easy or quick but with God and Holy Spirit to lead us, we move one step closer every day.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven,

I give you thanks and glory. If I have any of these things, envy, jealous, strife, anger, pride, and other that keep me from being connected to the Vine about me, please remove it now in the name of Jesus. I bring myself to be molded into the image that you desire me to be. Bring my church into unity and let it began with me.
In Jesus Name, Amen

What a message for church congregations everywhere! To be blessed as a church body we must be in one accord and remember Who shed His blood for it. Thank you for sharing this. Thomas, www.dustonthebible.com
