This is a true story about a little boy in our church family who was very near and dear to us all. He was almost 6 years old when the Lord called him home after a tragic accident. He is very much missed by his family and friends. Please keep his Mom and Dad in your prayers as they are still having a hard time coping with their loss. Thanks and God Bless you all!


A Tribute to Brandon

He was our perfect little Cubbie,
In Wednesday night Awana class.
He always knew all the answers,
Almost before the questions were asked!

Brandon loved to sing God’s praises,
And give worship to his Lord.
He memorized each verse required,
Now he’s been given his final reward.

Brandon could pray just like a grown-up,
Why, even better than a few!
He talked easily with his Jesus,
For this was the God he knew.

I remember one prayer in particular,
When Mrs. Debbie was feeling ill.
“God help Mrs. Debbie feel better”,
Brandon prayed; “If it is Your will.”

This touched my heart immensely,
And brought tears to my eyes.
This sweet little brown-eyed boy,
He was so young, and yet so wise!

On that tragic day in December,
We lost our little light that shined.
He’s shining now up in heaven,
And we’ve been left behind…..

Our hearts were broken in pieces,
As humans, we just don’t understand.
Why the Lord had to take him,
But we know God has a perfect plan.

So we must learn to trust in the providence,
Of the Almighty One that reigns.
And share of our hope with others,
To see Brandon one day, again.

He now touches the face of Jesus,
And walks with Him hand in hand.
He is happy, of that I am sure of,
For Jesus was his very best friend.

If Brandon could speak to his family again,
I believe this is just what he’d say;
“Be strong and of good courage,
And neither be thou dismayed;

For the Lord is with you, wherever you go,
And I’m still with you, inside your heart.
I will always be your son and your brother,
Even though just for now, we’re apart.

One day we will all be together again,
And oh what a glorious day that will be!
So until that time, keep looking to Jesus,
For He will provide all you need.”
