I was young that fateful camping trip, but I will never forget it.
My parents and I had packed up the van, and with my other 3 siblings headed up to a little spot in Pennsylvania with gorgeous waterfalls, and a lake, all the wonderful "outdoorsey" type of setting that makes for a picture perfect vacation. Until they remembered they had 3 screaming children in the back seat, and one perfect daughter (cough, cough) with them.

Well, we no sooner get on the road, after everyone being asked "did you go to the bathroom", then my little sister Mandy says those fateful words "I have to go, now!" so, we pull off, mom takes her into the resturaunt, and she goes.

About two hours into the trip, we're all getting pretty restless in the back seat, and Dad decides to pull over. This is where the fun really begins.

Never failed. I'm the one who gets sick in the back of a car. Doesn't matter where I'm going, could be just down the road, I'm the one who gets so nautious, I look like my own can of split pea soup.

I didn't really start to feel sick until afer we pulled in. That's when it hit. I made a mad dash to the bathroom, where there were about 900 other women and children standing in line. When they saw my face, lack of color and my cartoon disposition, it was like the red sea parting.

After that fun little stint in the 'award winning cleanest bathroom in the USA' I headed out to meet the family in a little resturaunt that was a little less than desireable. Not feeling like eating much, I headed to get some fruit from the salad bar.

Sitting down to get my sugar back up, I noticed something unusual. Ants! EWW! I flagged down a waitress, and told her about the situation. She looked at me as if it was an absolutely normal part of the day and told me "maybe it flew in".

FLEW!?! This ant didn't have wings! It had my pineapple!

Back on the road...
After eating around the ant farm, we all piled back into the van, and headed up to the mountains, until we hit construction. We're traveling at a comfortable 55-60 mph loaded down and weighing a good 3 tons, when a construction worker, decides ever so casualy to step backwards into the flow of traffic. Finally, his friend grabbed him by the orange safety vest and yanked his sorry rear end back inside the cones, as we whizzed past, all 4 kids pressed to the window, to see if he was ok. Fun vacation for all, and it hasn't even started!
