Be Still

Don’t hide Your face from me, dear God,
I need Your spirit, so Holy.
Sometimes my faith seems so far away,
As the world overcomes me, slowly.

The wind is howling outside my door,
The cold seeps clear to my bones.
Raging inside my mind, is war,
Fear and despair, from my unknowns.

Deliver me, I pray dear Lord,
As only You can do.
Your grace and mercy are needed now,
To cover my heart anew.

I need to feel your comforting arms,
As You pick me up when I’ve fallen.
My faith grows strong and deeper still
When I hear your voice to me calling;

“Be still my daughter, know I AM here,
I will never leave your side.
You’ve not taken time to hear My Word,
Thus to keep My Spirit alive.

Come rest now daughter, at My feet,
Give Me all your troubles and cares.
Praise and repentance are now required,
Let me hear them in your prayers.”

Thank you, Lord for leading me back,
To the tender warmth of your embrace.
I just can’t explain why I lose my way.
Where would I be without Your grace?

The road less traveled is sometimes hard,
With rocky paths and many a steep hill.
But God will always lead you back home,
If you‘ll just listen to Him, and be still……
