Do I stand in silence?
Do I state my case with elegance? Do I scream at the nuisance
wasting peace, unable to conceive
the pain it caused and all that was lost.
If I let it go will it stunt my growth? Who knows...
maybe it's the way the wind blows
a faint hint of lavender, subtle grandeur.
making my heart yearn.
What can I learn?
Maybe it's in the stars that shine, perfectly aligned
shining
in all their glory as they tell their story.
or in the silence of the moon as it fades into noon
where there's no more room to shine...how kind
of the sun to take it's place, as the world embraces
bringing light to space.
Is the answer in the storm as I stand forlorn
wanting no more?
A lingering scent of lavender floats past my nose
as if it knows the answer. The aroma eloquently subtle and soft
In patience time’s not lost.
In the wait there’s no loss, nothing’s worth the cost.
We’re not a bunch of cattle in a herd branded and cursed
who can't speak a word, unable to learn.
It's not about the battle or how much it rattles
but in the wait, patience is gained. God’s love remains the same.
