Song Lyrics
Ask, Seek, Knock
Ask! Keep asking and it will be given
Ask with faith in the Lord of Heaven
Seek! Keep seeking and you will find
Seek with your heart, soul, and mind
Knock! Keep knocking on His door
Knock with a heart and soul so pure
(Chorus)
All who ask will receive what is asked
All who seek will find what is sought
All who knock will find the door open
My Dearest Friends,
The Lord is so visible in our lives right now, that I don’t know where to begin. This week has been a week of trials for almost every member our Friday night fellowship group. Monday is when I started my battle and spent a wonderful night in the presence of the Lord (through prayer, studying, and praising). Listening to the others tonight I found myself not the only one engaged in battle this week. As I was looking for Scriptures to help join in a discussion with a friend, I came across Matthew 7 and was inspired. I grabbed the ever available paper and wrote the above little song. I love being used by the Lord and this is another example that He can use someone like me for His glory. I’m afraid to sound like I am boasting on my works, but I am not. God is the one who is responsible for everything I write. God is the Author and Finisher of my faith, so too is He the Author and Finisher of all my works. The only work I have to do is be obedient (of course that includes grabbing pen and paper and writing out what He gives me.) Though I have been saved for over two years I find it amazing that the Lord is so active in my life. He gives me miracles everyday and He has blessed me with the ability to see them. I love reading the works here at Faithwriters because you can see and feel the anointing in this place. There are so many that God has blessed with insight, wisdom, and talent.
He is faithful even if our faith is running a little low. Though God knows our needs, He still desires for us to ask Him. So this little work is a reminder that we must ask, seek, and knock to receive our blessings. The works of asking, seeking, and knocking are steps of obedience. God is looking to see if we are willing to obey, for our love is through obedience to the Lord. Our reverent fear is shown through obedience. The full flow of this message should be “Ask, Seek, Knock, Obey, Thank, Receive, Thank, and Testify…” As you can see it doesn’t stop with just the asking, seeking, and knocking, it continues on until others see the glory of God and accept their salvation. I’m sure you will agree with me when I say that the goal of my(our) works here on earth is to get as many souls to meet Jesus as I can. Give God the glory. I love you all. God bless.
In Christ’s Precious Name,
Christian
