Be still! Stop what you are doing and allow the LORD to do what you’ve been praying for. Be silent and listen for God’s instruction. Quiet yourself and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you.

God is our Defender and Redeemer. Stop defending, and trying to redeem yourself. You pray, yet strive for your own answers. You are growing weary from your own efforts. Give it to God, step back and hold your peace.

We are so active and we fret much. Even as we pray over certain situations, we take our own steps and often unwittingly fight God’s efforts. God does at times step back, watch and let us do our own obstinate thing. Then we learn, the hard way, to rely on Him.

Everyone has battles brewing and tests pending. You can contest carnally or allow the Holy LORD to save you. “The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14) We succeed when we give the ordeal to God. When we allow the LORD the victory, we are secure and He is glorified.

You should, obviously, take practical or medicinal steps. However, raging against the rain will not stop it…take an umbrella and pray. You can be serene in the midst of your storm as you wait for God to still the tempest. Though you are in the world, you are not of this world. Do not struggle like those who have no hope.

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10)
Be means to exist, live, subsist, to remain in certain state
Still implies lack of motion or disturbance; the word often denotes rest or tranquility:
The LORD wants us to exist and remain subdued and free from agitation and commotion. God will honor you as you calm yourself. God will be exalted as you rest in Him.

Trust Jesus. He loves you.
