Here am I Oh Lord,
Down on my knees.
My sin's are over flowing,
I am grieved and uneased.
Oh why Lord do you have grace on me?
I am not worthy,
Why do you favor me?
My hands have done wrong doing,
And my feet were quick to rush into wickedness.
I have lied, and I have stolen.
I have committed adultery in my heart,
And I murdered with my hate.

Here am I Oh Lord,
Down on my face.
Begging for your forgiveness,
Urning for your grace.
I am ashamed,
I can not look at you.
I tremble inside my being,
and I am crushed by your Mighty hand.

But my Lord, my God,
The One in whom I trust.
You placed your hand upon me,
And you lifted me up to my feet.
You removed the rags I wore,
and you clothed me with your glory.
You took away my disgrace,
And you wiped the tears from my eyes.
Then you gave me a place in your counsel,
A part in Your Kingdom Come,
And you announced to the whole assembly;
“This is my son.”

I spoke out to the Lord,
“I do not deserve this Oh Lord,”
“For my sin's are many.”
But the Lord said to me,
“My son, you are right, you do not deserve this,”
“But it is to my delight that you are here.”
“For I payed your penalty, and nailed it to the cross.”
“And now this is my gift to you.”
“This gift is given freely, you did not earn it.”
“My mercy is extended to you,”
“And in this I delight.”

So now my tears are for joy,
And my grief to happiness.
For the Lord is unyielding in mercy,
And overflowing with compassion.
So come home to the Lord,
Do not let your sins hold you back.
It was his passion to go to the cross.
It was his delight to forgive our sins.
