A reader wrote: "My husband, not happy with my mood swings,
bought me a mood ring the other day so he would be able to
monitor my moods. When I'm in a good mood it is green. When
I'm in a bad mood it leaves a big red mark on his forehead."

How is your mood today? Do you need one of those rings? Is
your mood cycle like an amusement park roller coaster or are you
"steady as she goes?" Fortunately for me, Betty is a "steady as
she goes" type. I can't imagine what it would be like to live with
a spouse (male or female) who is as moody as a hungry lion.

Some wives have to deal with abusive husbands with mood
swings acerbated by alcohol. That has to be one of life's most
difficult situations. How do you handle it? VERY
CAREFULLY, because the goal is to be such a loving spouse that
the testimony of your life will lead that one to a life-changing
faith in Jesus Christ.

1 Cor 7:16 (nlt), "You wives must remember that your husband
might be converted because of you. And you husbands must
remember that your wife may be converted because of you." In
the meantime you may have to endure some abuse, but God
knows your situation, and you are not in it alone. Trust Him!
