Philippians 4:8 - Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

So often we find ourselves sinking into a river of despair simply because we are not willing to let go of the hurt in our lives. Maybe someone has done us wrong and we just can't

seem to forgive them, thus we enslave ourselves in the field of unforgiveness and are weighed down with the burden of bitterness and anger. Or WE find
that we're in a place where we are not willing to forgive ourselves. Living with this unforgiveness can both stunt our growth in the Lord and cause us to become so loaded down that our testimony falters. Eventually a hardening of the heart occurs to

the point that we are unreachable. Things don't have to be this way my friends. Forgiveness is a great gift from God. It is a selfless act that cleanses the very heart and soul. It gives joy and love where heartbreak ones resided. Forgiveness is a decision to let go of blaming and to allow healing to occur. God can reach into the willing hearts of his people and mend the hurt that life has put in us. He can heal the mind of his people and teach us to bring our minds into submission with his will. But we must be willing to forgive!

We are often like a Rabbit caught in a snare, who is pulling and struggling to free itself. Each move brings the snare tighter around the rabbit, and eventually the Rabbit’s life is completely stifled out by the snare. Each time we pull and struggle with the

difficulties of life, and have unforgiveness in our hearts the snare of depression and bitterness gets a better hold on us, and overcomes the love of God that is in us. It doesn't have to be this way. We do not need to live this way. The "I have the right to be angry, I have been hurt, they did me wrong" mentality is not from God. From the Cross our Lord Jesus prayed, "Father Forgive them..." Stephen Cried out with his last breathe unto God asking that his tormentors be forgiven. True love forgives all things.

I have been struggling with unforgiveness in my heart for so Long. Today I know that my God is setting me free from that unforgiveness, because I have cried out unto my God. "Forgive! " It has taken me a long time to realize Forgiveness is what was lacking in my life. I thought I was ok as long as I did not look at the pain. This was a deception. For I now know that cover-ups don't take the hurt away. True peace comes threw a forgiving heart. I pray that I remember the lesson taught to me

today, and do not hold unforgiveness in my heart. I know that the only way to true
joy is threw giving God complete control of my life. I must do as he has said. FORGIVE!!!
