I praise You Lord,
Simply for who You are;
The Light against the dark;
In the black You’re the star;
You’re the One who raises me
Up from the dumps;
If I lost my hands,
I’d lift up holy stumps;
If I lost my eyes
I’d sing like a lark;
For the fact that You are good,
I’d praise You from the dark;

Take me to the depths,
As I know You will;
All for my own good,
With grace, praise you still;

Your name on my lips,
With my last living breath,
I will praise You with all thanks,
Yet to praise You beyond death!
