The Lord overrules every fool,
Of which I am chief;
Convicting truth, which is my jewel;
My drive to turn over a new leaf;

And with the drive He grants me fuel,
His own most Holy Unction;
His Person is my spiritual tool,
To bring me up to His Christ-function;

But I'm not left with only these;
Conviction and the power;
He sends wisdom for all my pleas,
That I may shine with every hour;

With every step I take for Him,
I move within His plan;
With every falter, I confess my sin,
And washes me with cleansing hand;

Complete in Him, as a new-born babe,
With all I need for this life;
This became mine, when I was saved;
For victory in all strife;

I'm in His arms, just like that babe;
He carries me across adventurous streams
All I need, from Him, to be fed,
And to be kept clean.
