I believe that God wants to give us anointed relationships in 2006. My wife and I have been asking the Lord to connect us with people who are hungry to receive every desire of His heart and every thought of His mind for us, in us and through us.

People who are so desperate not to miss anything from God have hearts captured by Jesus. They desire to be transformed into His image (Romans 8:29). Are you someone who desires to have a deeper and richer relationship with the Lord and with people who are chosen by Him?

Let Him pick the relationships that He desires for us to have. He calls us to have relationships that draw us closer to Jesus. He wants us to give and receive His revelation, wisdom, discernment, fruit and gifts for the purpose of building each other up in faith and love. The conflict and pain as well as joy and peace are necessary for us to grow in our relationship with Him and with each other.

There are four types of relationships that the Lord wants us to have in 2006. The first three are with Christian believers.

1) Mutual relationships that are balanced in giving and receiving from each other.
2) At least one relationship in which we receive and are mentored.
3) At least one relationship in which we give and mentor someone.
4) Relationships with people who are not converted so that they will be converted.

We must also be discerning about people who are not called by God and are sent by the devil to destroy us. This takes revelation from the Holy Spirit. If He says to close the door and have no more relationship with someone, we need to obey Him. This does not mean that someone who challenges us by looking at our weaknesses is always sent to destroy us. We must have discernment from Him if a relationship is beneficial or destructive. If a relationship is destructive, we must ask the Holy Spirit to help us close the door, forgive and go forward with His plans.

God is calling us to obey Him and please Him. We will be blessed if we choose His best or we will be cursed if we choose the lust of the eyes, the lusts of the flesh, the pride of life or the fear of man. Will you be a God pleaser or a man pleaser in 2006?
