Have you ever found yourself in a place where you feel like the bottom has fallen out from under you? Its like all those you learned to count on just disappear, and your left with just yourself and…you think your all alone, but your not!
God reaches out and brushes the tears away with a soft breeze and whispers peace into your heart. Everyone else has left, but God never will.
Job experienced this kind of loneliness, but God never left him. I believe God felt every hurt, every sadness and every feeling that Job did. God is like a parent who watches their child fall down, or sees their child take a first step.
When we are learning to serve God, often our greatest lessons are taught while man rejects us. God wants us to use this time to get closer to him.
A few days ago I was in a place where God was telling me to do something, but I was waiting for more advice. Waiting for someone else to assure me that I was doing the right thing.
When that advice finally came, it was telling me the very opposite as I had expected. Here I was alone, having to make a decision that was not popular, and had already been rejected by someone I trusted.
God was telling me to trust him more. No man can do what God will do for us. It was a very hard thing to do, to go against the advice of the one I had relied on for years to give me the answers. But I knew God had spoken to me. It was my disobedience that had caused this heart-braking situation.
God speaks not what is popular but what is right. I will rely on him for all I do. No longer do I feel the need to question. I know God has answered before I speak.
