You give us a gift
The greatest of all
This gift that You give us
You give one and all

We carry this gift
Through our seasons of life
This gift for a husband
A child and wife

At times we conceal it
Or forget that it's there
And continue on living
Without a care

But when we are troubled
By worry or fear
That's when this great gift
Is abundantly near

It's not wrapped in ribbons
No whistles or bows
Or fine decorations
In colorful rows

This gift that You give us
So loving and true
This gift from Heaven
This gift Lord is You
