This celebration comes once a year
it brings joy to all the world
Some sing him praises from on high
like of the songs angels hearld

Throughout the night little hearts do sleep
anticipating what the day will bring
All snugged in their beds, with happy dreams
while outside, church bells did ring

There under the fireplace stockings hung;
decorations, displayed everywhere
And there stands a tree all lited with lights
Xmas night seems to linger in the air

There are gifts and toys for girls and boys
a satin robe and a pair of slippers too
And, least we do forget, pop needs a tie
seems everyone needed something new

But the most important thing of all-
that on this occasion God gave his best
And you can be sure, no body was left out
for his Son's love was put to the test

That's why this gift is the best one of all
for it brought light and hope to everyone
And although he was rich, he came here poor
to show a dying world, the victory had, been won
