Written 11-10-05

To bring joy to the Lord’s heart;
Here is the key to set about the task;
James gave us his wisdom for us to impart;
For spiritual success: count, know, let and ask;

Count as one does when he weighs his gold;
There is value in this measure of difficult time;
This is the joy that makes one bold;
And unfolds this trial’s reason and rhyme;

For know that one can produce faith’s patience;
Seeing the Lord is good in all things;
Sin can be avoided, with it’s impertinence;
Here is the truth that faithfully rings;

So let this patience grow in its work;
And mature as a true Christian child;
For in patience one will never shirk;
As temptation attacks as unceasingly wild;

And ask for wisdom when one is confused;
And He will dole out with no reproach;
This is the truth we must not abuse,
As it is His will we seek to approach.
