God came to earth,
To seek His own;
Came to His sheep,
Leaving His throne;
All man saw Him,
For who He was;
Chose to kill Him,
Brought to the dust;

Thus see the work
Of the faithful High Priest;
Endures things we know of;
And saves to the least;
He knows our rejection,
How we are despised;
Yet men killed Him,
But by the Spirit, rised;

He got me
Right where I was dead;
Faith in Him imbrues me,
Brought to a head;
His spark of Life,
Quickened this one;
Called me up,
For He is the Son

He gets me,
Right where I now live;
His Spirit strains me
Like a sieve;
He knows the pain
I know so well;
Yet came to me;
Saved me from hell;

See the Man,
Who knows all men;
Let Him come to you,
And save you from sin;
He is the One
Son of Promise;
His mercy, like rain,
Can fall upon us.
