Keeping house is like threading beads on a string with no knot on
the end. Ladies, can you relate to that?

There are lots of things in life where we can ask, "Can you relate
to that?" There are things that have a lot of meaning to us that
may have little or no meaning to someone else. We are all unique
creatures with interests that are all our own.

As we read God's Word, there should be lots of times where we
can say, "I can relate to that." Some may be times of praise, some
may be times of instruction or correction or sometimes of a
situation through which one of the Bible characters went. The
one thing that we can't possibly relate to is the suffering Christ
endured on the cross for us -- that goes beyond our ability to
imagine.

Heb. 12:2 is a potent verse, "Looking unto Jesus the author and
finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him,
endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the
throne of God" -- "...the joy that was set before Him?" How
could that be joy? I'm sure it was the joy of knowing His
accomplishment in fulfilling God's plan to redeem sinners like us.
His joy can be transferred to our joy. Are we joyful Christians or
dill pickle substitutes? The choice is ours.
