I waited many years to be a grandmother and now have two precious grandchildren. I have always said if I got the opportunity to be a grandmother that I would be the best one I could be. I thank God every day for the gift of these children. They are a little bit of my past, present, and future and are like a message from God that life does go on. We have a special relationship and they know that I am always in their corner. They wrap their arms around me and time stands still for the moment. I would never do anything to offend them and hope one day when I am no longer here on this earth that they can look back and say, "My grandmother loved me and she told me about Jesus." I have a journal for each of them and write them letters and poems, and prayers. I pray they will read them one day and treasure the messages of hope, love, and joy that I try to convey. The grand part of it all is the joy they bring me. We have a mutual admiration society going. They enhance my life with their existance. They are my gifts from above!
