The Right Hope

What is our hope in?
Is it in the things of this life?
Or is it in one another,
as we go through the strife?
Do we hope on possesions and money,
and on things of sinking sand?
Do we depend on our jobs,
or on grass and land?
Let's put our hope in things eternal,
for that is all that will last.
It takes away the shame and
will forgive the past.
It helps us in the present,
this guarranteed hope-filled love.
It insures our everlasting future
with the Father up above.
