Forgiveness

Forgiveness is eternal.
Jesus doesn't keep track..
Our sin is cast into the deepest sea.
It never comes back.

He died for our forgiveness.
Every sin was nailed to the tree.
He suffered excrutiating pain
so we could be free.

We know we're forgiven
when guilt and shame are gone.
There is no condemnation...
For those who belong.

Being forgiven keeps us humble
not to be abused.
We're accountable for our actions
on the Day of Truth.

We will be forgiven
if we forgive.
Selfishness must die
if we want to live.

Forgiveness is an action...
a choice to be made.
It won't stop consequences
but it will stop the pain.
