How can we show we love the LORD? We prove our love of Jesus by showing love to others.

We are commanded to love our neighbors as ourselves. Do we really show that love always? What about how we treat our families? Is our love of Jesus shining through our harsh words to our mates, or our impatience with our children? Our words of love mean nothing if our actions shout a contrast. Quick anger and impatience gives no glory to God. When we treat family, co-workers, neighbors or strangers with disrespect or scorn they can not see the grace of God at work in us.

We are under constant testing and trials and must be diligent to overcome evil with good. Be it a mate, friend or enemy our reaction should be the same. In your home, church and everywhere speak benevolence into your battles.

Sundays should not be the only day to display gratitude and love to God. Show your love and gratitude by being loving and thankful to all. We must speak kindly to and about others. It is not always easy to speak compassionate words and be gentle, but by praying and seeking the LORD's guidance such action will become more and more natural. When we extinguish the jealous, vindictive, cruel nature within ourselves the fruit of the spirit can shine through.

Psalm 139:23&24 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Mark 12:29-31 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself’ There is no other commandment greater than these”
