O' life you come with things to tick me off
with your lighting bolts of trouble
That strikes without warning, on my each step
O' boy I wonder if they did double

But it only makes me want to grab my gear
get a safety-belt to strap around me
So to hold me together, until it goes on by
O' life, enjoy your laughing spree

But, excuse me while I get my breastplate
for I know your not through yet;
So let me put my helmet on, to shield my head
to keep my mind so I won't forget

That with you I'll need my best pair of boots
to wade through each muddy trail
O' life give me what you've got, I'm ready to trot
for I do not intend to fail

So come with your deep waters of problems
I'll just go rent me, a raft or boat
So when you ticks me off, I'd be a good thing
though you have me by the throat

O' life I do understand this game so well
but let me share these words with you
I'm going to make it, so go on and dish it out
this my soul, it will get through

So do try to rock my boat to overturn it
I give you credit, but, it's no way
Because, here comes wisdom, knocking at the door
and it always has something to say

First I will shake off those dusty doubts
I will not let you take my grounds
But will seek to make my days be fruitful
so to go with you a few more rounds

O' life even if it's raining on the outside
I can't let you dampen my soul
I'll enjoy the showers, that falls from above
and the good I will forever hold

So what if you do bring a few off days
it don't mean I got to check out
But ride it through, and paint a better picture
and I'd kill all kinds of doubt

There are tunes that's been printed on paper
that I may can't play at this time
But O' life know this, I'm willing to learn
so don't look for me to resign

O' life, go on and tick me off all you want
but let me take this time to smile
And let us shake hands, as we do make our way
to face each coming mile

Wisdom will open it's door once we do knock
it will help you to ask for grace
For it will be days that can tick you off
but with it, it won't be hard to face
