Extremely Bright

With reds and yellows and orange and brown

not only butterflies and bees, but hummingbirds surround.

The books say that trumpetvine and hyssop more likely attract.

But that is not how our hummingbirds act.

Oh, the hummingbirds are not ours, you know,

they do not come to stay,

just flipping and flapping and suddenly away.

They may not even know they are sent to provide

pleasure to human eyes like mine.

Do they even realize they and their flowers

are both the result of Intelligent Design?
